About the event
The Maryland Poultry Swap & Farmers Market welcomes anything farm related, handcrafted, homemade, homegrown, antique and unique! It's a farmer's flea market and you'll find CHICKENS, ducks, turkeys, quail, peacocks, game birds, hatching eggs, incubators, piglets, goats, small livestock, local honey, artisan cheese and butter, locally butchered lamb, pork, chicken, beef, handmade baskets, crafts and jewelry, rusty barn junk, livestock feeds, custom designed wood and metal work, handmade jewelery, used and new horse tack and garden tools and much much more.
It's completely open to the public whether you're shopping or selling. Vendors must register by purchasing tickets beforehand but general admission is welcome at the gate on event day.
Vendors: Â We have grown so much in 13 years! Â The spring swap has overgrown our small space. Â We are limiting vendors to 200 and encourage you to register early. Â Eary set up on Friday begins at noon - dusk. Â It's a great way to claim a good spot and avoid the mayhem Saturday morning. Â Â "BIG RIG" spaces are limited. Â If you have a truck and trailer, you will be required to purchase 2 spaces. Â Each vendor space receives 2 bracelets.. Â Additional vendor guests are charged a general admission fee. Â Â Once registered, our coordinator will reach out to you via emails to update and send reminders. Â
Spaces are app. 12x12 with room for one vehicle. Â Most vendors bring a canopy, tables/chairs/products. Â When you arrive (Friday or Saturday) a staff member will show you to a spot. Â We cannot stress arriving early on Saturday enough! Â The swap opens at 8am for earlybird so we close the vendors gates just before then to assure safety for our guests. Â Late vendors may set up in the parking area. Â Â Arrival between 6:30-7:30 is ideal. Â
*The MDA has certain rules pertaining to the sale of live animals. Â It's your responsibility to be familiar with these rules and abide by them. Â
