POP-Up Weddings

More than an elopement, less stressful and less costly than a traditional wedding, Pop-Ups are a new trend accommodating a new wedding couple. 

Courthouse weddings are dreary and dated and traditional weddings are time consuming and can be extremely costly.  Like so many other things, our modern, massive networking abilities have transformed businesses in many ways to accommodate niche markets.  Green Hill Farm is a small, secluded, family-owned wedding venue that is tuned into what our clients desire.  We have the all weekend wedding option for those traditional families that want elegant with an outdoor, country atmosphere... but, to many, this option is more than what they bargained for!  For smaller events with smaller guest lists, the Pop-UP could be just want you want.  

We have collaborated with the best area vendors to provide you with an all-inclusive package that gets the job done efficiently with no fuss or planning on your part.  Enjoy it!  Have fun with it.  Simply wear your favorite outfit or splurge on a tux or gown.. or take this somewhere unique by choosing a theme.  

Time Slots are approximately 2 hours. Arrive 30 minutes before ceremony time to stage in the bridal parlor. Bring 20 of your nearest and dearest family and friends to share this day with you.  Choose your genre of music.  Select your bouquet.  Meet with the photographer and our ceremony coordinator.  Enjoy a simple, but elegant ceremony.  Take advantage of everyone dressed & together and arrange to have brunch or dinner at the Bavarian Inn or another restaurant.

12:00          Couple/Guests arrive -- couple has access to bridal parlor for pics and to prepare for exit

12:30          Ceremony 

12:40          Photo Shoot / License Signed

1:00            Reception -- Toast, snacks/desserts, First Dance

1:30            Departure --  guests gather on path for recessional

Bridal Bouquet (two bouquets available if both partners would like one)

2 Ceremony locations to choose from with seating and decorated with flowers (arbor and aisle-way)

PA system to play classical music while guests are seating, cue song and then wedding march (coordinator assists with staging)

First Dance To Your Choice Of Music - download your song to your phone and bring with you.  We hook it up to our PA.  Norm will announce.

Cake topper to take home with you for 1st year anniversary!
Festive Send Off - will announce recession and photographer will capture photos.  

In case of rain back-up plan to be held inside barn.

*Couples are responsible for obtaining a Washington County, MD Marriage License.  The license must be obtained at least 3 days prior to their wedding ceremony, and presented to the officiant in advance of the ceremony.   The officiant will sign the original copy and give to the couple, and he will file the legal documentation with the courts.

That's it! Simple, easy and totally choreographed by us.  We have a few wonderful local restaurants like the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown as well at the Old South Mountain Inn in Boonsboro, MD.  Finishing off the evening at either place or having an informal get together at a family member's home could be a great way to celebrate the day.
